JACK & SHERRY HARRIS

Jack Harris, world missionary and evangelist, is president of Global Messenger Service which he founded with his wife, Sherry. Since entering full time ministry in 1976, Jack and Sherry have traveled all over the world holding crusades, planting churches and providing humanitarian aid to the poor. Jack has served as a teacher, and as a mentor and friend to pastors, leaders and missionaries from all walks of life. He counts it a privilege and an honor to help them strategize how to be more effective in reaching and discipling multitudes for Christ.

Jack and Sherry walk hand in hand in ministry. Well known for being a “man’s man,” Jack is always up for a challenge and takes his ministry from the headhunters in Borneo to the tattooed bikers on the streets of Sturgis. He is passionate about his monthly men’s meeting where he challenges real men to stand up and serve God passionately. God has given Sherry the opportunity to relate to women all over the world, on a personal and intimate level, as she encourages them in their giftings, mentors them in their callings, and teaches them to be confident women of God.

Jack and Sherry’s true purpose and passion, the foundation upon which everything is built, is to reach the lost, the aching, and the desperate, and show them The One who can rescue their heart and make it beat again.

Jack enjoys his Harley, NASCAR racing, barbequing on the back deck, Cardinal’s Baseball, gadgets and fishing. He finds the best way to clear his head is by hopping on his Harley for a long ride with the pipes roaring. Sherry loves a good chick flick, good conversation, bubble baths, bargain shopping, American Idol, time with her daughters and collecting aprons. Together, they enjoy sipping coffee at an outdoor café and look forward to Sunday lunches with the family.
