Brazil Update
The past few weeks have been busy and productive. I spent sixteen days in Brazil with Sherry joining me for the last eight days. For eight days, I was with members of the largest bike club in the world. Every two years they have a "World Rally" and I was given a special invitation to attend. There were thousands of them from all over the world and then there was me. I was the only outsider, and just like they wear a patch on their back that says the name of their club, I was wearing the patch of the Christian biker ministry that I belong to. In large clear letters it says, "Lord Jesus Christ, Christian Crusaders." I knew the patch was either a target or a billboard so I decided to position myself so as many as possible could see it!
Spending eight days with them something I could write a book about. There were thousands there and almost none of them wanted to be seen hanging out with a Christian! Too bad for them, the door was opened and I was able to make a powerful impact! It was cool and intimidating! Guns, drugs, shots fired, riding extremely fast and infighting within the club happened everyday! I was in the right place at the right time and I learned some great lessons on what it means to be "light."
After the biker World Rally, Sherry flew down and joined me for eight days of ministry in churches, men's meetings, pastors meetings and a youth festival. What a contrast, from bikers to twenty year olds! One day I spoke to about 1,500 high school, college and career age kids. The theme of the day translates into English as "Day of Deciding Destiny!" They came prepared to decide their destiny and I was pumped to be able to challenge them.
We also had a powerful pastors meeting in Rio de Janeiro. It was one of the best meetings we have had the city and I believe it will have a lasting impact.
Now we are looking forward to Indonesia, Malaysia and Spain. In just a couple of days, I leave for Sturgis, South Dakota where I will be ministering to bikers at the world's largest bike rally! We are having a power packed year with great results! God is using us and we are honored to be used by Him.
